7.The difference between medium frequency induction furnace and resistance furnace
In modern industrial production, for workpiece heating,must do heat treatment, welding, smelting and other processing, each process is essential of product quality, selecting and using the appropriate heating equipment for different products to achieve the right heating process temperature plays decisive role for the quality of the after processing workpiece. The principle difference between traditional resistance furnace and the modern MF induction furnace is summarized as follows:
The traditional resistant heating furnace is an industrial furnace which is using current to make the electric heating element or heating medium heating, so that the workpiece or material will be heated. Its working method is as below: the electric energy is converted into the heat energy through the resistance wire, and the heat energy heats the work piece through the air conduction. Due to the heat transfer process requires a certain temperature difference, the air on the workpiece thermal conductivity is low, so the heating cycle is relatively long.
MF induction furnace main principle is: the alternating electric current into the coil which is wound into a ring or other shape (usually made of copper tubes), the strong magnetic flux will be produced in the coil in a moment, put the metal heating material in the coil, the magnetic flux will penetrate the entire heated material,producing a large eddy current in heated material and in the opposite direction of heating current, due to there is resistance within the heated material, so that the material's own temperature rapid rise, use the eddy currents in the workpiece to generate heat. The process of energy transfer: electric energy into electromagnetic energy, and then the workpiece cutting alternating magnetic lines into the workpiece energy. The process is simple, and there is thermal energy inside the workpiece, directly heating the workpiece, fast, and the thermal efficiency can reach 90%.
